Stephanie Huddleston and Steve Lynn are both distinguished connoisseurs when it comes to good food and great wine. In 2010 this dynamic team opened Morso Wine Bar, a sophisticated but casual eatery that features an intimate interior, lovely patio, and beautiful views of the bay where you can eat, drink, and unwind. This neighborhood restaurant has seasonal lunch, happy hour, and dinner provisions crafted in their scratch kitchen where food is always fresh and never frozen. Some of their most popular items are the Truffle Popcorn, Baked Brie with port reduction topping, Roasted Poblanos with Shrimp, Barolo Braised Soft Ribs with Polenta, and their Filet Mignon. Morso’s extensive wine list features white and red wines from around the world and was included in Open Table Top 100 Wine Lists in America. They also offer specialty draft beers and ciders.
Beyond providing delicious morsels and elegant libations, Morso Wine Bar hosts wine events and concerts and dishes up a feast for the eyes in their gallery space where exhibitions rotate every few weeks. Morso Wine Bar has held a preview of the Open Studio Tour and the Peninsula Art League Fall Show the last few years.
As well as sitting on the Harbor History Museum Board of Directors, Lynn was the initial President of the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance and spent a significant amount of time helping it become established. During the last year he has served on an ad hoc committee to form an Arts and Culture element for Gig Harbor’s comprehensive plan. Morso Wine Bar supports many auctions and local charities including Gig Harbor Peninsula FISH Food Bank, Tacoma Art Museum, Symphony Tacoma, and the YMCA.
