End of Summer & Early Fall 2025 Events in Gig Harbor
Even though summer is on its way out and school’s about to begin again, there are still plenty of events happening in and around Gig Harbor. Make the most of what’s still left of the warm weather with blackberry and film festivals before welcoming fall with cider swigs and harvest-time fun!
The Waterfront Farmers Market
Thursdays, through August 28, 2025 | 1pm - 6pm
Head to Skansie Brothers Park to catch the last few weeks of this summer’s Waterfront Farmers Market. Come by boat or foot and see all there is to choose from – food, flowers, artisan specialties, crafts, and more.
Gig Harbor Demonstration Garden Events

Come join the WSU Pierce County Extension Master Gardener Program at Sehmel Homestead Park for their final events of the summer!
Children’s Workshops
On Saturday, August 16, kids can learn about The Wacky World of Weird Plants in the garden, or make scarecrows and help harvest fall vegetables on Saturday, September 20. These activities are geared towards kids aged 3-11 and will take place at 10:30am. Register here!
Harbor Hounds

Bring the whole family (including the humans!) to Skansie Brothers Park
for a day of food, fun, music, activities and entertainment! There will be a community dog walk, agility course, and even a chance for Fido to show off his special talents. Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor Midday, this event offers various ways to support the community and local charities. Race for a Soldier

Autumn Sip and Stroll

Hands Of Hope Dinner and Gala

Schilter Family Farm Sunflower Experience – - Olympia

Sunflower Festival at Rutledge Family Farm - Olympia

There are over 3 acres of to feast your eyes and camera on! Each festival ticket includes one sunflower bloom and a wagon ride to and from the sunflower fields. You may may spend as much time as you wish exploring the sunflowers fields, taking pictures, reading the informational signs, and choosing the best sunflower blooms* to take home. You can also participate in many fun games and activities in the courtyard!
The Washington State International Kite Festival - Long Beach
